NEWS: PREMIERE DATE FOR THIRD GHOST IN THE SHELL ARISE OVA ANNOUNCED

At last Saturday’s premiere of Ghost in the Shell Arise border:2 Ghost Whispers in Japanese theatres, it was announced that the third installment in the series would be titled “Ghost Tears,” and will see its theatrical release next year on June 28th. Advance tickets are currently being sold for $12, alongside Blu-ray copies for border:2.

Ghost in the Shell Arise is Production I.G.’s latest retelling of the popular sci-fi series, and will be released theatrically in four parts in Japan. Funimation recently released the first installment on Blu-ray back in August in the form of a subtitled-only Japanese Collector’s Edition, so hopefully we’ll get to see the overseas release of border:2 soon.
