Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver Official Teaser Reaction

Kora and the gang are busy preparing the village for a glorious battle. An upcoming battle that looks as epic as the Battle of Hoth.

Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver brings back Sofia Boutella as Kora, Michel Huisman as Gunnar, Staz Nair as Tarak, Bae Doona as Nemesis, Djimon Hounsou as General Titus, and Anthony Hopkins as Jimmy as they get ready once again to do battle with Ed Skrein’s Atticus Noble.

Kora will not only have to lead her planet’s peaceful farmers into battle, but she must also confront her past. A victory would galvanize rebellion against the Motherworld and redeem her past as one of the Motherworld’s most dangerous warriors.

The machinations of the Motherworld look the most like the war machines of Star Wars. Seeing the gunships carrying their six-legged walkers reminded me of the LAAT gunships bringing the AT-TEs to the surface of Geonosis. The Kryptonian influences on the Motherworld’s spaceships are the most prevalent in this trailer.

Even though I enjoyed the first film, there was room for improvement. Hopefully, the sequel fixes what didn’t work and builds on what did. Both parts were shot back to back, though, so if any meaningful changes are made, they will be made in Part 3.

I’m a guy who can appreciate cool props, and every gun in this trailer and the first movie looked terrific. It reminded me of the prop guns used in Revenge of The Sith, which had some of the most excellent laser guns in sci-fi.

A giant battle is coming, and based on the trailer, it will be explosive and exciting. It will be what redeems Kora and saves the people of Veldt. Noble and the Motherworld better be ready for a fight.

Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver premieres exclusively on Netflix on April 19th, 2024.
