NEWS: FUNIMATION LICENSES EUREKA SEVEN
BIG NEWS, GUYS!! Funimation just confirmed over an hour ago that it has licensed the legendary anime, Psalms of Planets: EUREKA SEVEN. They will be releasing it on both Blu-Ray and DVD sometime in the future, but have not been able to announce a release date yet.
Y’know, Advent Seven tries to maintain some relative form of professionalism in our news reports, BUT HOLY FREAKIN’ CRAP. Eureka Seven is amongst our top three favorite anime shows, and set the bar for the industry’s standards to all-new levels back in 2006. It’s still a thrill to watch to this day. Studio BONES produced the series, and Bandai Entertainment released it in America before the company went bankrupt a few years ago.
This just proves how serious Funimation is about retrieving old series from Bandai’s dead corpse and re-releasing them, as they’ve also acquired Cowboy Bebop, Code Geass and the .hack series from Bandai. We’ll make sure to update you all when a release date for the Eureka Seven BD/DVD is announced, and we hope you’re as excited as we are!!
