NEWS: DC ANIMATED MOVIE “SON OF BATMAN” ANNOUNCED

On the brighter side of things, today TV Guide leaked the trailer that confirmed DC Comics’ newest animated feature to be based off of the origin story of Damian Wayne, the son of Batman and Talia Al Ghul, and the most recent iteration of Robin.

We’re pretty psyched, as Damian is our favorite Robin, if for no other reason than the fact that he can wield a katana (sometimes two), and was trained to be an assassin up until age 10. Also, DC Comics’ animated work never ceases to amaze, and has repeatedly proven to be a beacon of light for the American animation industry. Pretty much the closest we’ve ever gotten to straight-up replicating anime.

Hopefully Son of Batman will do Damian Wayne’s comic run justice, and maybe even result in an adaptation of his final days as Robin too.
