NEWS: DISNEY DROPS STAR WARS 1313 TRADEMARK

Ah, crap.

Pretty sure we all saw this coming, but it doesn’t sting any less. What would’ve been a badass game and a uniquely mature twist on the Star Wars universe had its trademark name dropped by Disney today, with no sign of a release anytime soon, if at all. Chances of this game ever being finished aren’t zero… but if DISNEY gets rid of something, it’s pretty much shot to death.

Originally, production on Star Wars 1313 wasn’t supposed to be affected after Disney’s acquiring of Lucasarts, but soon word got out that progress had been stalled. From that point on, less and less news had been heard until there was no word at all about the game. Well, we’ve still got that new Battlefront game to look forward to, but there’s still no release date announced yet.
