NEWS: HALO 2 ANNIVERSARY RUMORED FOR XBOX ONE
As the old saying goes, take everything you hear with a grain of salt. Or, maybe a bucket of it. Either way, reports come from a source on NeoGaf that claims a Halo 2 Anniversary game is being developed for release on the Xbox One later this year. They’ve even got a release date: November 11th.
The same source also claims there will be TWO versions of the release: one will be a “Standard Edition,” which includes beta access to Halo 5 and a Halo TV series (but not the one rumored to be directed by Neil Blomkamp). The other one dubbed the “War Collection” will include the entire Halo 2 Collector’s Edition as well as Xbox One ports of Halo 3 and Halo 4. Both versions come from a long list of Xbox One titles that this NeoGaf user claims are currently in production, along with limited edition Titanfall releases, a new Forza Horizon, Fable Legends in 2015, Crackdown 3 in 2016, and more.
Overall, saying that this sounds like a Halo fan’s ultimate nerdgasm is an understatement. HOWEVER, please don’t get your hopes up yet people. This is all entirely unbased rumor until Microsoft has given the press a confirmation. It’s like that time in high school the button on your pants came loose, and by the end of the day everyone was claiming that the seat of your jeans had ripped. These things can get totally blown out of proportion. For now, let’s just keep our fingers crossed and wait to see what Microsoft has to say.
