Disney and Lucasfilm recently announced that Star Wars Episode VII is scheduled to begin shooting this May at Pinewood Studios in London. The specific date hasn’t been given, but considering May is Star Wars month, we’re pretty sure which day they’ll start filming.

Alongside this, the producers have given a slight hint towards the basic plot and setting of the new installment. Episode VII will be set 30 years in the future after Return of the Jedi, and “will star a trio of young leads along with some very familiar faces.” Most likely, those familiar faces are no doubt our original heroic trio, and our new protagonists are their kids. Not much else has been revealed for now, but it’s safe to say we’ll hear more at San Diego Comic Con later this summer.
