NEWS: THIRD INSTALLMENT OF AKITO THE EXILED DELAYED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Son of a bitch. How many times are we going to have to see these OVAs get pushed back even further?? The official site for Code Geass: Akito the Exiled announced today that the third OVA which was originally planned for this spring has been delayed with no clear release window set. The staff also noted that they will try to make the wait for the fourth OVA to be as short as possible.
While patience is a virtue, we’ve already been waiting far too long to only have two episodes on our hands currently. Hopefully production on this theatrical series hasn’t totally blown up in the past year. For those who don’t know, Akito the Exiled is a series of four theatrical OVAs which take place during the one-year interval between seasons one and two of Code Geass where Lelouch lost his memory. The first installment was released on August 4th, 2012, and the second was released September 14th of last year. Hopefully everything is going well over at Sunrise, and that we won’t have to wait over a year for the next OVA this time.
