NEWS: FIRST TRAILER FOR MICHAEL BAY’S TMNT MOVIE REVEALED

Oh, fuck. 

He made it. He really made it. Damn, and here we were hoping the project got killed off. But today, CBMTrailers posted the first trailer for Michael Bay’s big budget adaptation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Most fans have been bitter towards this movie for several reasons, among the worst being that Bay has COMPLETELY rewritten the origin of the Turtles. Basically, instead of being the result of a Daredevil-esque mutation, the Turtles were created by Shredder and April O’Neil’s father.

Oh yeah, and April is being portrayed by Megan Fox. Double fuck. 

But the weirdest part of this new TMNT movie is the new look of the Turtles. As io9.com puts it, they can be best described as giant, green babies. Which is a very accurate depiction, to be honest. Our heroes are gigantic compared to humans, which makes absolutely no sense since they’re supposed to be NINJAS after all. Well, we can’t bash on this trailer too much because of that last one-liner which least made us chuckle. Still, it’s quite apparent Michael Bay doesn’t give any fucks about TMNT fans. At least there’s still the new Nickelodeon show, which has proven to be a fantastic interpretation of the series. And as for you older fans, there’s also a wondrous little gem out there called Mutant Ninja Turtles Gaiden.
