You read that right, Pokemon is getting its own line of symphonic orchestra concerts! Avid Pocket Monster fans, start clawing through your closets to find that ol’ tux from Senior Prom- you’re gonna need it!

The concert series, Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions, will be performing songs from all main RPG games of the past 6 generations. To be clear, that means music from Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, Pearl, Black, White, X and Y. The concert series will premiere in Washington D.C. at the Warner Theatre on August 15th, right before the 2014 Pokemon World Championships that same weekend. A second concert date has been set on September 19th in Philadelphia at the Mann Center of Performing Arts. More dates are set to be announced in the future.
