NEWS: SUPER SMASH BROS. FOR 3DS SELLS OVER 1 MILLION IN JAPAN
Whether or not it comes as a surprise, Nintendo’s latest installment in the brawler series is selling quite nicely in Japan after only being on shelves for one weekend. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS came out September 13th overseas, and not only did it sell over 1 million copies by yesterday evening, but also shipped over 1 million copies to retailers last week. This is Nintendo’s 4th 3DS game to break 1 million opening weekend, following Monster Hunter 4, Pokemon X/Y, and Yo-Kai Watch 2.
In other Smash-related news, there’s been multiple reports of 3DS slide pads being broken due to the game’s demanding thumb input. Make sure you find your warranties 3DS owners, you might need them.
