NEWS: AKITO THE EXILED OVAS GET RELEASE DATES

After surviving another year-long hiatus, Code Geass: Akito the Exiled’s third OVA will premiere in Japanese theatres during May next year. The third episode will be titled “Kagayaku Mono Ten Yori Otsu” (Something Sparkling Falling from Heaven). The official twitter account for Akito the Exiled also announced the release window for its fourth and final OVA,  "Nikushimi no Kioku Kara" (From the Memories of Hatred), which will be during July of next year.

Considering they’re only two months apart, that’s pretty sweet. It means that production might finally start going smoothly, and Code Geass fans won’t have to wait another 2 years for the last episode. The first OVA premiered in Japan on August 4th, 2012, and the second premiered last September. Sunrise is producing the series with Kazuki Akane as director and CLAMP returning for concept art and character designs. Funimation licensed Akito the Exiled along with Code Geass seasons 1 and 2 last year.
