NEWS: DURARARA!!x2 SHO FIRST PROMO VIDEO REVEALED

Dengeki Bunko began streaming the new trailer for the first of three upcoming Durarara!! anime projects on Sunday at the Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival event. The promo features new characters, plot elements and many returning characters, picking up where the first anime season left off. The second season, titled Durarara!!x2, will be released in three separate cours (quarters of a year) with the first premiering in January 2015, the second in July 2015, and the third during January 2016. Each cour will also have its own subtitle, respectively: Sho (“Understanding”), Ten (“Motion”), and Ketsu (“Conclusion”). Durarara!!x2 in its entirety will cover everything up until the conclusion of the light novels’ first arc. 

The entire cast and crew will be returning to work on the sequel anime, with production now moving to the newly-formed Studio Shuka instead of Brains’ Base. Takahiro Omori will be directing, with all previous voice actors reprising their roles. The ongoing Durarara!! light novels are being written by Ryohgo Narita, with production on the second light novel series Durarara!! SH. currently underway.
