Hope you don’t have plans during Thanksgiving week, because Nintendo’s flagship brawler game is coming your way on November 21st! Nintendo announced today this will be the release date for North America, while Europe will be getting the game December 5th and Australia on December 6th. The 3DS version has been damn fun so far, and its sold 2.8 million copies worldwide as of today. But the real fun’s definitely going to begin once we get our hands on the Wii U version. Also, Nintendo announced today that the Wii U Gamecube Controller Adapter will indeed support WaveBird controllers, so that’s some good news for you lucky sons-of-bitches out there who own those controllers.

Masahiro Sakurai, creator and director of Super Smash Bros., will continue to post more pictures of the upcoming Wii U version on his Miiverse blog in the weeks to come, so we’ll slowly be hearing more about this version’s unique features. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is currently up for pre-order on Amazon, along with the Gamecube Controller Adapter and the newly re-released Smash Bros. Gamecube Controller.
