There’s a storm brewing, but not just any storm–it’s the final Ultimate Ninja Storm. That’s right, the video game series Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm is coming to an end sometime next year with its final installment.

CyberConnect2 will be developing the game, and it has been confirmed Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will have the largest playable roster in the franchise’s history, going over 100 characters ranging from the story’s beginning all the way to The Last: Naruto the Movie, which debuted in Japanese theatres a couple weeks ago. New characters confirmed for the roster include Senju Hashirama, Uchiha Madara and Adult Naruto. Storm 4 will also cover the manga’s entire final arc in its campaign mode, and both online and offline play will be available.

The Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Bandai Namco had this to say:

“The STORM series continues to be one of our most popular franchises and its leap to the new generation of hardware ensures that it won’t stop now. Our long-time partner, CyberConnect2, has always poured their hearts into the NARUTO SHIPPUDEN franchise and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 looks forward to be the ultimate realization of the series!”

Needless to say, the guys at Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 are pretty damn excited for this game, as the game’s tagline calls it the “final massive strike for the Storm series.” More details have yet to arise, but we’ll most likely be hearing more from the game developers soon. To satiate some fans, a bit of game footage has been leaked on Youtube glimpsing the intense fight between Hashirama and Madara. While Storm 4 won’t be out until next year, the lucky few attending Jump Festa 2015 on December 20th and 21st will get the chance to play the game early.
