NEWS: GHOST IN THE SHELL 2015 MOVIE’S FIRST TEASER TRAILER UNVEILED
A teaser for the upcoming 2015 Ghost in the Shell film based on Masamune Shirow’s manga has been released by Production I.G. Set to open in Japanese theaters in early summer, and will feature much of the cast and crew from Ghost in the Shell: Arise.
The teaser itself shows only one very brief clip of animation in addition to a small amount of production art featuring the Major pulling cords from the back of her neck in a long line of similar-looking cyborgs, as well as some of the environments. Kazuchika Kise and Tow Ubukata will be returning to their roles from Arise as Chief Director and Screenplay Writer, respectively, and the vocal talents of many actors from Arise have had their names attached to the project as well. While they have not yet been credited for their individual roles, it’s very likely they will be reprising their characters from Arise as well, such as Maya Sakamoto, who previously voiced Makoto Kusanagi.
Very little additional information has been released about this film, and it is referred to in this teaser only as “Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie.” It is unclear at this time if this is the title of the film, or simply a description of it.
