NEWS: NEW UPDATE FOR SUPER SMASH BROS. Wii U ENABLES 15 STAGES FOR 8-PLAYER MODE
Nintendo has released a new update for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, which allows for 15 more stages from the current roster to be accessed in 8-Player Smash.
The update is part of version 1.0.2, which is available NOW for download from the eShop. The download is 316MB in size, and adds 9 regular stages and 6 “Omega” stages to the stage selection in 8-Player Smash. Considering how few stages were available earlier in this mode, this is a welcome tweak to the game. The entire list of new stages added can be seen below:
REGULAR STAGES:
- Mario Circuit (X)
- Luigi’s Mansion
- Pyrosphere
- Norfair
- Lylat Cruise
- Pokemon Stadium 2
- Town and City
- Smashville
- Wii Fit Studio
OMEGA STAGES:
- Mario Galaxy
- Mario Circuit
- The Great Cave Offensive
- Lylat Cruise
- Pokemon Stadium 2
- Town and City
There do not appear to be any other noticeable updates alongside the new stages added in 8-player mode, and series creator Masahiro Sakurai has emphasized that there will not be any more balancing patches added to the game. Hopefully we’ll be seeing some more news regarding the Mewtwo DLC scheduled for this spring sometime in the next few weeks.
